The presence of bliss
I was brought to tears many times today and cried in blissful joy of the beauty that surrounded me. Being raised in the Midwest things around my home are rather flat and disturbed by commercialism.
I have the wonderful opportunity to be in the mountains of Denver Colorado for the next few days. The incredible beauty of the untouched land, mountains and streams brought such bliss into my vision that I cried in total awe of the peace and stillness. It was incredible to have that experience today after writing yesterdays blog about finding inner peace in your life.
There CAN NOT be anything painful, hurtful or fearful in the presence moment. I know that I keep repeating it over and over again but it is such a level required to attaining that peace all the time.
Just before the amazing view I was involved in a conversation where the past had played a role in hitting a place of pain. Then by the divine Grace I was transported to the moment and everything was no longer affected by that suffering. A direct hit by Spirit! If awareness could always be so bold our self growth could be unmeasurable. It is not always that easy, sometimes the awareness is subtle and forces us to look harder to remember the present.
The great news with awareness is that each step forward is towards the life of your highest desire.
Two steps forward, one step back…..just keep dancing.
On-going transformation
We think that we have to “get it” the first time and we easily become frustrated when we keep experiencing the same thoughts, relationships, jobs, people, etc.
Transformation is an act, process or instance of transforming or being transformed. For most of us it is a process. A life long process of changing and growing.
Every once in awhile there will be that one instance so profound that the transformation from it will last the rest of your life. But most are less obvious and easy to miss if we are not paying attention.
What did you do today differently than you did last year, last week, even yesterday? Did you change a thought? Did you react to disappointment or loss from a different awareness? Did you love more deeply today for humanity? Did you dance when you use to sit it out?
Transformation! Look for it in your life and be grateful for your growth and awareness no matter how small. Acknowledge in yourself the ability to continue changing the conditions of yourself.
What five things can you find to acknowledge transformation in your life?
Remembering re-found!

Just coming out of an incredible weekend of discovery, awareness, connection and love! Other than the usual small glitch here and there the weekend was a huge success. The participants growth and pushing forward exceeded all expections that I could have ever imagined.
A huge thank you to all that made this weekend possible behind the scenes, Mike (my husband and chef), Chelsey (step-daughter and chef), Jill (step-daughter and chef), Derek( blog-designer, photographer, staff helper and chef), Natalia ( my mom, set-up helper), Jessica ( participant, web-designer, photographer), Anna ( photographer, participant and my daughter), Wilson ( participant, tear-down helper and my son) Jared (participant, tear-down helper and cheese cake lover).
And then the participants, Don, Lydia, Janette, Brooke, Norene, Kyle, Wendy, Georgjean, Anna, Wilson, and Jared. Without you there would be no weekend, thank you for trusting me, the process, for having the courage to expand, for sharing, and for helping to bridge the gap between fear and love. You all are amazing!
Always do your best!
This is the last of The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Always do your best. That’s all. Period, end of the sentence. No matter what we face in this life if we approach everything doing the best we can then there is no regret, shame or remorse.
The other three agreements, be impeccable with your word, don’t take things personally and don’t make assumptions can only become habits by you always doing your best.
That does not mean that you will never fall short of these agreements but it does mean that you are growing in your awareness and becoming more in line with these intentions. Like I said before, practice makes perfect and each and every opportunity is one for growth and awareness.
I remember being taught as a child that you have to, “do your best to be your best.” So for me this is a lesson in remembering.
Peace be with you on this incredible journey!
Dis-ease
In 1976, Louise Hayes wrote a book, Heal Your Body. This was long before the mind and body connection was a popular concept. Her view on ”disease” was that our minds and bodies were in a state of dis-ease. And because of that we can bring disease into our selfs. Interesting concept. Her book is still wildly popular today and well worth the read.
I looked into this power of thinking 10 years ago when I was facing a great deal of disease in my body. Auto- immune disease is what I was told. That meant my own body was attacking itself. The word implosion comes to mind! I was imploding because I, certainly, was not exploding.
A shift in my awareness took place during that time in my life. I was finally seeing the results of years of smiling and stuffing it all neatly inside. Dying not my life but the vision of what pleased others above myself. I became filled with so much dis-ease that I didn’t see myself alive 5 years from that point.
The awareness came from the understanding that in order to best serve others I needed to best serve myself. It was amazing for me to see with that simple shift I no longer needed the many medications, the pain became less intense and healing started to begin.
A shift from the thinking of disease to dis-ease.
