See the change!

Just a reminder, ” that when we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change”.

We tend to LOOK at our families, friends, co-workers, the same.  We don’t often stop and check-in  to SEE  the people closest to us.  We  miss  the   opportunity to learn and grow from the ones closest to us when we continue to LOOK at them through the same eyes that we always have.

To look is to examine, to see is the discover!

SEE what is to be discovered in the people closest to you today!

Oh Yeah, while you’re at it, make it a Tigger day too!

Wake-up call

Last week while getting really for work I had the news on and in the background I was listening the this story about a 47 year old woman that was making the News in a huge way!  Her name is Susan Boyle and she has been discovered on the Britain’s Got Talent TV show.  She has never been married, lived with her mother her whole life and, only, now that her mother has died is she setting out to live her dream.

The wake-up call comes in the judgement we make with our eyes everyday!  It is the looking vs. seeing that I spoke about in my March 18th blog.

Looking vs. Seeing

Webster’s dictionary has supplied this mornings definition of look and see. ( Yes, I really did look the words up in my 1981 Collegiate Dictionary. Scary, I know!)

Look:  to  exercise  the power of vision upon, to EXAMINE.

See: to have the experience of, to come to know, to DISCOVER.

We all walk through life examining everything around us, forming opinions, making  judgements.  What if, just for today ,we stop to discover what is really in front of us?

How does our spouse, our family, co-workers show up differently if stop to really see who they are past the look?  The exercise of seeing is amazing!

When we stop looking and start seeing, we stop judging and see the  human being.  One of the basic fears that we all have is this;  if someone could see us in all of our humanity would they or could they still love us.  The answer is YES!  When we see  into the eyes of a soul we find connection, unconditional connection.  We see that there is no difference of where they start and where we end, we are one!

Try it today, SEE what happens!

 Let me know, happy SEEING!
